Eurotech’s WWPC Runs Linux on Your Wrist!
Eurotech’s WWPC wristwatch runs a Linux desktop environment! I’ve got a Fossil Abacus that runs Palm OS, but this watch seems to blow it away! From the article:
According to Eurotech, the WWPC integrates everything users expect of a PC, in a versatile, ergonomic form factor that supports a variety of wrist sizes. It can be worn over or under work clothes, and has flexible left- or right-handed straps that enclose dual 2-cell Li-polymer rechargable batteries. Claimed battery life is six hours in “fully operational” mode, or eight hours under normal circumstances.
It actually seems a bit hefty for a wristwatch, but so does my Abacus. I’d still wear it! What with the whole six hour battery life thing, I’m thinking this isn’t meant for use as a watch, but a computer that you wear while you’re using it.
While I’m waiting for this to hit the market, I guess I could always just duct tape my Dell Axim to my forearm…

Happy Pi Day, Bitches!
Today is Pi Day, or 3-14, so in honor of such an occasion, I’m eating pie. Also on my schedule is memorizing more digits of pi. Sadly enough, even though I’m a Computer Science major, I only know pi up to 3.14159. Yeah, I know, how can I call myself a nerd?
Luckily for me, there’s the Pi Trainer. It lets you guess pi, tells you how many digits you got right, and gives you 5 more digits to remember. This process continues until you memorize all of pi, or give up. I chose the latter. It’s a good way to spend your Pi Day. Holy shit, that rhymed!

Galbadia Hotel = More Video Game Music/Art Than You Can Handle!
Via Kotaku, I discovered what seems to be the biggest stash of nerd-centric video game paraphernalia this side of the Pacific! Galbadia Hotel has it all: MP3s, MIDI, Sheet Music, Artbooks, even freaking commercials! And some are really old and cool! I was going to go somewhere for Spring Break, but it appears I’ll be plastered to my computer downloading MP3s and whatnot. I always wanted to know how to play “Suteki da Ne” on the piano…
If you don’t believe me that they have everything: They have the freakin’ Ducktales (NES) Original Soundtrack! Don’t tell me you weren’t looking for that!
Now, if I had to guess the legality of this awesome site, I’d have to say it’s entirely illegal! But I’m not hosting this crap, they are! So for now, enjoy the wonders of Galbadia Hotel and all they offer. You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave! Nor will you ever want to.

YAFFPP: Final Fantasy XII Potion Available at Jlist.com!
Yeah, it’s yet another Final Fantasy XII Potion Post. This should be almost the last one, I promise! Anyway, News on the street is that everyone’s favorite online wacky Japanese item store, Jlist.com has Final Fantasy XII Potions in stock! Now, the price for the limited edition version is kinda high at $24.50, but the normal version is “only” $4.50. Yes, I know that’s still freaking expensive for a 120mL drink, but it’s Final Fantasy!!!
I think I may buy a few, depending on whether or not anyone wants to split shipping with my (my cousin will probably want a couple). Shipping is $4.80 for one bottle, and it gets better (per bottle) if you buy in bulk. Final Fantasy XII Potion, getto!

I’m Back from the Mountain West Basketball Tournament!
Due to unforeseen circumstances (our teams losing), the band has returned a bit earlier than expected. Overall, the basketball tournament was fairly disappointing, if only because of our high expectations for our teams. Everyone expected the women to advance through at least the first round, so when they didn’t, it was really a shock! On the upside, I found myself in one of the basketball action pictures! Sure, I’m small and blurry, but I won’t complain!
The picture also features #5 Abbie Letz, my favorite basketball player ever! Cool, huh? And before you point out that I wasn’t paying attention to the game, I totally was! I think someone must have been talking to me or something.
Anyhow, I still have confidence that our women’s team will be making an NCAA appearance (knock on wood), so this is by no means the end of the season. Let’s go Letz, and Go Lobos!
