They just say a lot of random crap between songs that's funnier than the TV show. Like they had this long story about time-traveling acid where they were at a party and talked Bret talked to David Bowie and gave him an "Easy to Play Bowie" book and Jemaine being in the bathroom with Tina Turner (young and old). It was pretty weird. And I dunno about the next season either. The last few episodes weren't that great... I agree with the live stuff being funnier. However, I feel like many of their songs seem funnier at their live shows than on their TV show, for some reason.
