Yes, I was published today in a newspaper. The Daily Lobo. Ok so it’s not really a newpaper, more of a newspaper wannabe. Anyway, here is my letter about those bastards running the RIAA. It’s interesting how much the Lobo censored my letter, not that I used any kind of unusable words or anything, they just decided to clean up my super long sentences. Check out the uncut version here. They did, however, take out my whole mention of iTunes, who has done a good job. I guess I should be happy that they decided to publish my letter, though the Lobo is notorious for printing all sorts of crap.
I just read that the music industry is providing an amnesty period where you can admit to stealing music, as long as you vow to delete it from your hard drive. Wow, sounds like a great deal, except it doesn’t apply to those who have been sent subpoenas! This just looks like another stupid move by the industry to try and bully people into being afraid of them. Kind of like “good cop – bad cop”, except it’s more like “evil cop – evil cop”.
